What can't I do with this data?
Our services may NOT be used in the following ways:
- To locate people in the interest of developing a news story.
- For purposes that might cause physical or emotional harm to the subject of the report.
- For individuals involved in an adoption.
- To gain information on well-known/high-profile celebrities or government officials.
- To determine a consumer’s eligibility for (a) credit or insurance for personal, family, or household purposes; or (b) a government license or benefit.
- For purposes that are not within your stated normal course of business.
- For pre-employment or tenant screening.
- Due to various inaccuracies in public records, our services should not be used for skip tracing purposes.
Do you mail hard copies of my reports?
No, all search results are displayed electronically after which you can either print or download the reports. Your reports will also be saved in your "Search History" for 60 days.
Do we provide SSN records or Credit Reports?
By law we are prohibited from releasing non-public information such as SSN Records or Credit Reports to non licensed entities. Our SSN Search allows you to check the validity of the provided number.
Can I perform Employee Checks using your Criminal Data?
CIS Worldwide is not a consumer reporting agency as defined under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA"), and the information in our databases has not been collected in whole or in part for the purpose of furnishing consumer reports, as defined in the FCRA. You may not use the Websites or Data to: (a) establish an individual's elegibility for personal credit or insurance; (b) assess risks associated with existing consumer credit obligations; or (c) evaluate an individual for employment, promotion, reassignment or retention (including employment of household workers such a nannies, housekeepers, or contractors) or in conjunction with assessing the merits of entering into any other personal business transaction with another individual ("Unauthorized Purposes").
