Reverse Records Search

2009 Edition

One of the most exciting developments in records searching is the ability to do reverse searches.

Really, it was only a matter of time before this came to be. When a provider is able to index tens of thousands of databases and link them together into an all-in-one search, the next natural extension is being able to reverse engineer the record lookup process so that data can be traced backward to the source, rather than requiring a source (a person) and then moving forward.

Reverse phone lookups have been quite common, and people love them for quick and dirty investigations, e.g. who has been calling my son, spouse, significant other? Who is prank calling me? Whose number is that on my phone bill? etc. A reverse phone lookup can be performed in seconds (Click here to try one out!). But a reverse records search is a much more complex animal, as it involves aggregating tons of information from thousands and thousands of sources (literally).

Once you perform your reverse search, you can find out more than just the name of the offending individual. This site can also provide you with access to over one billion public records. Examples of these records include criminal background checks, arrest records, federal criminal records, sexual offender records, and a list of all the individual's addresses for the last twenty years.

You may also be able to access a list of friends and family who are commonly associated with the offending individual. This can help you track down how this person became linked to you and possibly explain why this individual decided to target you.
